Glasgow Employee Scoops TTG Travel Award

Liz McBride, Reservations Consultant for HRG UK in Glasgow has been honoured with the Reservations Consultant of the Year Award (Large Travel Management Company) at the prestigious TTG (Travel Trade Gazette) Business Travel People Awards 2006.

Liz, who is based at HRG UK’s European Service Centre (Euro Centre) in Glasgow, works on several high-profile multinational healthcare accounts requiring a diverse range of business travel solutions. Liz’s award recognised her planning and prioritising abilities as well as her creative problem-solving skills.

Not only committed to providing consistently high levels of service and value for clients, Liz also recognises the importance of offering personal guidance to trainee employees by volunteering her support on the company’s Corporate Travel Training Programme, confirming her commitment to her team and HRG UK.

Commenting on her success, Liz said: “Throughout my career I have always strived to give my employer and my clients the very best service I have to offer, so this really is a fantastic honour. I’m proud to work for the UK’s number one travel management company and I’m proud to deliver great service and value – when my clients are happy, I am happy too.”

Launched in 2005, the TTG Business Travel People Awards are designed to recognise and reward exceptional performance in the business travel sector. They are run in association with the Institute of Travel Management, whose members form the judging panel. The awards were presented at a prestigious ceremony, hosted by Evan Davies of BBC’s Dragons’ Den at The Waldorf Hilton, and saw HRG UK pick up a hat-trick of accolades with Jenny Crewe from London winning Account Manager of the Year and Jane Lush from Reading collecting the Branch Manager of the Year award.
