International corporate services company Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) is making further developments to HRG Trip, its proprietary online itinerary service for business travellers.
HRG Trip is a web based system which allows travellers and travel bookers to view their itineraries online,
anytime, anywhere. It incorporates flight data for both full service and no frills airlines (departure, arrival and recommended check-in times), hotel details, rail bookings and car hire information.
The additional upgrades to HRG Trip will be available from May 2007 and include:
- Information on all hotel bookings including those booked outside the GDS (Global Distribution System)
- New language capabilities (French, Italian and Danish in addition to the existing English, Finnish, German, Norwegian and Swedish versions)
- Frequent flyer card information display
- Ticket number display
- Ability to add trip information to calendars that support the iCalendar standard, including Lotus Notes and Microsoft Outlook
- The inclusion of SNCF rail bookings
- Ability to display overland travel information (taxi and airport bus) in Sweden and Denmark.

HRG Trip is completely secure yet easy to access, just requiring a unique booking reference and the travellers’ surname to display a full itinerary.
Travellers and travel bookers are then able to view or print out any amendments that have been made since the beginning of their trip – an essential option for today’s business traveller, who might have a complex journey with several stopovers or flight changes, or need to alter their arrangements once they have left the country.
In addition to the new features, the solution includes:
- A comprehensive destination guide for hundreds of cities and airports worldwide
- Maps of hotel locations worldwide
- Ability to upload flight details to online calendars that support the ‘iCalendar’ standard including Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes.
Accessing HRG Trip is simple, requiring only an internet browser - Explorer 5.5 or later is recommended - and simple log in details. To make it particularly easy to obtain trip information whilst travelling, a link to HRG Trip is displayed at the end of travellers’ itineraries.
