Corporate services company HRG Nigeria today takes centre stage at the inaugural ACTE (Association
of Corporate Travel Executives) ‘Power Talk’ in Lagos. Held at the Protea Hotel Oakwood Park, the
event will focus on discussing corporate travel management topics that are most relevant to Western Africa.
HRG Nigeria’s Managing Director Olufemi Adefope will be
speaking at the event on the subject of delivering value in a competitive environment. During his presentation he will cover:
- The concept of providing value and what it actually means
- Whether managed travel should be considered a cost or a value
- The complexity of the corporate travel market
- The market forces impacting clients’ business
- The change from the traditional ‘rebate model’ to management and/or transaction fees.
Mr Adefope will also participate in a panel discussion on the impact of the imminent elimination of airline commissions in Nigeria for the corporate travel buyer.
With over 30 years travel management and corporate services experience, Olufemi Adefope is widely recognised as one of Nigeria’s most prominent industry experts and was delighted to be invited to participate in the event. He commented: “This is the first ACTE Power Talk event to be held in Nigeria and will be of huge interest to corporate travel buyers and procurement experts, giving them access to a range of expert comment on the latest issues facing the industry.
He continued: “Events such as this can only help to educate, inform and cut through the complexities of our industry and highlight the unique capabilities of a corporate services company in a rapidly developing
environment. We are able to demonstrate that, with our extensive local knowledge backed up by the resources of the global HRG organisation, we are ideally placed to guide clients through the challenges of the corporate travel market in Nigeria and impart expert help and advice as they start to consolidate their activities across the whole of the Africa region.”
Africa region continues to be a significant focus for HRG. Earlier this year the company announced that it had
entered an additional market in the region, Cameroon, further enhancing the company’s extensive network and client capabilities across Africa and taking the total number of HRG operations in the region to ten. Globally, the HRG worldwide network now extends to almost 100 countries.
