Executive Team Reshuffle Improves Focus On Market Opportunities

Following on from its recent announcement about a European restructure (6 August 2007), HRG has today announced a reshuffle of its senior management team.  With effect from 1 September 2007 Reto Bacher will hand over his responsibilities as President of Europe to Kevin Ruffles who will take on this important role in addition to his responsibilities as President for Asia Pacific (AsPac).  Reto Bacher will take on the newly created global post of President, Events & Meetings Management and Sports.  A handover of responsibilities between Bacher and Ruffles has already commenced.

Commenting on the changes, David Radcliffe, Chief Executive, said “HRG’s recent successes in both client retention and new sales are well known.  However, in order to capitalise on these successes it is important we have the best structure in place to service the needs of both our national and international clients.  Kevin brings with him a wealth of experience of building quality, seamless services both nationally and internationally, and Reto has a strong background in the field of EMM and Sports.”

Ruffles comments: “In today’s world of more instant communication and technology, it is still of paramount importance that we recognise quality service is critical both to our national and international clients.  One of my key priorities will be to ensure that we have structures and technology in place sufficient that regardless of whether they are national or international, small or large, our clients perceive and receive a service which is excellent.”

Reto Bacher, who brings many years of valuable experience to HRG’s Events & Meetings Management and Sports businesses, comments: “The events and meetings market is a huge growth area as corporate clients increasingly realise that specialist companies such as HRG can help them control and maximise their expenditure in this area, which often proves to be as large as their spend on corporate travel management.

“In addition, we have substantial expertise in managing demanding and highly specialist flight and hotel schedules for many of the leading names in the sporting world, such as the NBA, the International Ice Hockey Federation, the German Football Federation and high profile football teams such as Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.  This is a particularly exciting area of our business which I am very keen to develop.”
