Following a successful rebrand of its worldwide network to HRG, Hogg Robinson announces key management changes

12 May 2006

On 3rd April 2006, Hogg Robinson, the international corporate services company, launched the rebrand of its worldwide network to HRG, and has today revealed key changes to the company’s senior management team.

Focused on becoming the best provider of value added, corporate travel related services, Hogg Robinson has assembled an experienced senior team to lead the company into a new and exciting era.  The management team has been structured to ensure the Hogg Robinson Group continues to be united and integrated across both international and national boundaries.

Restructuring

David Radcliffe and John Kennerley will remain in their respective positions of Chief Executive and Group Finance Director.  Bill Brindle retains the position of Business Technology Director and gains IT-based Distribution, Roger Westwood remains Overseas Investments Director and Les Middleditch as Group Sales Director.  Chris Fry is appointed Commercial Director maintaining his key role responsible for major client relations and business development.  Keith Burgess adds corporate administrative responsibility to his existing role of Company Secretary and General Counsel. Mike Platt, formerly Managing Director of HRG UK, takes up a newly created role as Group Industry Affairs Director.  Jacqui Higgs is promoted to the new role of Group Marketing Director.

Three Regional Presidents have been appointed to deliver service and maximise opportunities in their respective territories: Tom Gleason, President North America, will focus on the continuing integration and development of the businesses formerly known as Sea Gate Travel, Robustelli World Travel, Partnership Travel Consulting and BTI Canada.  Kevin Ruffles, formerly Central Services Director, relinquishes his previous responsibilities (to Keith Burgess) to enable him to take on the role of Regional President for Asia Pacific (AsPac).  Reto Bacher becomes Regional President for Europe, including the UK market.

In addition to the Group Executive Management Team, additional changes include the promotion of Peter Kite as Managing Director HRG UK and Ian Windsor as Operational Director for Europe.  Reporting to Reto Bacher, both Peter and Ian will sit on the European Executive Board.  Dan Green (formerly CEO of Sea Gate Travel) will head up Hogg Robinson’s ongoing acquisition programme in North America.

Commenting on the restructure, David Radcliffe said: “This is an exciting year for Hogg Robinson.  We have some aggressive development plans and I am delighted that we have such a strong team in place to continue to unite and grow the business on a global scale.  We remain entirely focussed on adding real value to our corporate clients by providing them with a range of high quality services from low cost solutions through to consulting and expense management.”

He continued:  “This newly shaped team is designed to allow us to act even more cohesively across international borders on behalf of our international clients, whilst at the same time taking full advantage of the opportunities which are available nationally.  The Team provides a unique depth of experience, expertise and capability, and has the added benefit of having worked together for a number of years.  We look forward to and are excited by the opportunities which lie ahead, just as much as continuing to deliver superior service and value to all our clients.”
