With corporate travellers finding it increasingly difficult to identify and secure competitive air fares, Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) has rolled out its dedicated solution, HRG Global Pricing DeskTM, across Europe with plans to extend the service into North America and Asia Pacific later this year. The service will help organisations achieve greater value from their investment in corporate travel and could result in an average 13% saving per ticket.
The bespoke solution takes into account all available options across major GDS (global distribution systems) to obtain the very best rates on multi-sector flights on a proactive, pre-trip basis. In order to identify the most appropriate pricing structures and additional cost savings available, in what is becoming an increasingly fragmented market, the HRG Global Pricing Desk taps into a team of highly skilled and experienced fares analysts’ knowledge of routes, air fares and complex IATA (International Air Transport Association) rules.
Ian Windsor, Managing Director European Multinational Services at HRG, said: “HRG Global Pricing Desk offers tangible savings to clients, making a real difference to their overall air budget. The solution combines expert industry knowledge with the most up to date information available to offer the very best alternative fares within each client’s tailored travel policy.”
Further extending its invaluable service, HRG Global Pricing Desk is now able to perform audits to ensure that clients’ own negotiated rates are loaded and available to book, as well as checking compliance to route deals and assessing the fares available via clients’ online booking tools. Taking such a comprehensive approach to fare auditing ensures that businesses always have access to the very best deals before they book a trip.
Ian Windsor added: “The HRG team has many years of experience and unsurpassed expertise in fare construction techniques and offers significant savings on clients’ air travel spend.
“As an example, some companies, keen to maximise their return on expenditure since the credit crunch, have been able to take direct advantage of the service offered by the team. One organisation was offered savings of £1.6 million from an audit of itineraries originally valued at £12 million. That’s a staggering potential reduction creating an immediate benefit.”
The HRG Global Pricing Desk is able to provide audit services to a wide range of businesses including both SME and multinational organisations. Customised, client specific reports document cost savings made and detail the return on investment whilst regular review meetings highlight savings performance, identify trends and recommend any appropriate changes to client policy.
