International Corporate Services Company, Hogg Robinson Group (HRG), has today announced its Group Industry Affairs, Director, Mike Platt will step down from the HRG Executive Team with effect from 30 June 2008. 

Mike has decided to take early retirement from full time employment so that in due course he can take on a broad range of industry consultancy roles.  Mike comments: “Having achieved all my goals over the last 19 years with a top company, I leave with fond memories and take great pride in having been part of a winning team; I wish everyone at HRG on-going success.”

Mike joined HRG UK as Director of Sales in 1989, and over his 19 years he has held various positions including Director of Commercial Affairs and International Commercial Director before being appointed Managing Director of HRG UK, during which time he was awarded the ACTE (Association of Corporate Travel Executives) President’s Award for Industry Achievement.  Mike began his current role - Group Industry Affairs Director - in 2006 and has played an integral role in moving the Company and industry towards new methods of client and supplier relations.

While there will be no direct replacement for Mike, three senior managers will pick up his responsibilities: HRG Europe West Managing Director, Peter Kite will focus on supplier partnerships and industry affairs; HRG Finance Director, Julian Steadman will look after Commercial relationships; and HRG’s Partner Network General Manager, Adrian Woodward will take on a wider Partner remit supported by General Counsel and Central Services Director, Keith Burgess.
